MReBA's annual meeting and cocktail reception was held on April 30, 2015, commencing what promises to be an exciting and vibrant year for the organization. The meeting began with remarks and acknowledgements by outgoing President Mitchell King, who spoke fondly about his term in office and offered thanks to a number of individuals whose efforts contributed to the organization's successful 2014-2015 year. Mitch's remarks were followed by the election of an outstanding slate of officers for the 2015-2016 term, with Rob Whitney taking the helm as President, Nick Cramb serving as Vice President, Alex Henlin moving to the role of Treasurer, and Kristin Suga Heres taking the office of Secretary. Twelve directors were also elected, including Bill Erickson, John Harding, Susan Hartnett, Ben Hincks, Mitch King, John Love, Jerry McElroy, Joe Sano, Mike Mullins, Rachel Davison, Jessica Park, and Seth Jackson.
The annual meeting was followed by a cocktail reception, which was enjoyable as always and was well-suited to the event's new location at the offices of Prince Lobel. Bill Erickson spoke briefly during the cocktail hour, reminiscing about the organization's early days and commending the successful trajectory MReBA has followed in the years since its founding. Following Bill's remarks, newly-elected President Rob Whitney offered a few words, speaking about his background and the path that led him to MReBA as well as his goals for the upcoming year.
The annual meeting made clear that with MReBA's continued strong leadership, dedicated members, and vision, the organization is on a steady course for a great 2015-2016 year.
